Comments on: REDWING BOOT CREAM VS ALL NATURAL LEATHER CONDITIONER [ The Boot Guy Reviews ] http://kicksonfleek411.com/?p=32649 My site Fri, 19 Oct 2018 06:45:37 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.9.3 By: Frank Fattore http://kicksonfleek411.com/?p=32649#comment-32994 Tue, 21 Nov 2017 06:14:12 +0000 http://kicksonfleek411.com/?p=32649#comment-32994 I've always applied the Redwing mink oil/beeswax paste to my boots, just using my hands. I feel I can work the product into the leather more effectively that way. Thoughts?

A cobbler is most likely going to clean and condition the boots during a resole anyhow.

I bought Red Wing oxblood color boot iron ranger 8119…My question is what's the best thing to put on them? I was told NOT to use boot oil because of the leather by the person at the red wings sales person. I see UTube videos of people using boot oil on iron rangers so I am confused….lastly I don't care if the color changes so what your opinion! Thanks in advance
I,learned so,much from your Chanel by the way….

I applied the leather cream that comes in the jar a white cream. It says it has neatsfoot oil blend on front of jar label /redwing brand.I am letting dry for a few hrs and later today i will apply the all leather natural conditioner to give it the more soaked in darker coat protection.Long story short i am using both procedures you used which i believe will condition and protect.I just used the boot polish on my black beckmans last night and the neutral polish color for the cigar beckmans.I also did my 8138 briar oil ones last night and just used the mink oil but after that wears off i will go to the liquid oil redwing brand also.I think i will oil for conditioning and apply mink oil for water resistance from time to time depending on season or weather.I am going to wait 6 months or more to do anything to the 877 oro legacy due to the oil that is tanned in now is so dang good from factory.I like the 877 most due to overall quality and the full lleather footbed like a moccasin inside the boot vs just the toe box and heal on the shorter 6 in heritage versions. The entire footbed just forms to the foot.I still have the amber iron rangers to do and black cherry beckmans and one to experiment with will be the my next favorite spitfire roughout black blacksmiths. What a great boot and leather.I have had my favorite work boots 606 for years since i retired from airlines a couple years ago but now back as contractor i get plenty of use with my redwings and danners.I was doing the pecos for years due to quick pull on at o dark thirty every morning for quick and easy on/off.Now with more flexible hrs and doing home inspections on the side i have time to tie laces lol.i just tie up to the 8th hole on the 877 and leave 2 which works for me. i would add 3 or 4 speed hooks if i had to tie all/ill end here since so long. Thanks for all the vids and info.
