The sneaker community is slowly turning into a trend or a way into a group then a group of people sharing a passion for shoes. Sneakers have literally changed the way we look at sports, music, and media. "Oh look Kanye wore those GR's I got to get a pair." The addition of the hypebeast has had pros and cons but I have had the worst because of them. I wear size 12 and always strike out because of so many people getting them knowing they just want to flip them. But at the same time when Im short on cash I will sell a pair to get another pair. And if they weren't constantly driving up the market we wouldn't have such crazy prices when we need the extra. On another note the sneaker game is in the midst of a transition, from an era predominantly filled with sneakerheads who only bought jordans. To younger heads who have taken a liking to many different brands. The new era of sneakerheads has paved the way for customizers, restorations, sneaker events, and consignment shops.I think currently the sneaker game is at its peek, but I also think it will slowly die down but not completely. I seen it with my cousin for example:He started collecting in middle school and by his eigth grade graduation he had over 50 pairs of kobes, jordan and lebrons. He even owned OG bred 11s. Then he gets to high school and sold all his jordan, he currently only owns Lebrons, koes and runners. He stopped collecting because the price to quality was terrible and the passion was gone. Thats I have to say for now
