Hey man, nice vid. I understand where you come from with your opinion. Maybe i can clarify some things. Not justifying it tho.
To 5: Nike used and established the word "ZOOM" to describe speed (lightweight, high energy return….). So "zoom air" means "fast air" not like air max for example. With the zoom X they stayed with the already established word, just leaving away the air, since there is none, but the performance is similar (lightweight, responsive….)
to 4: It is a common practice on soccer cleats to design the takedown versions very similar to the high end version. So everybody with a lower budget (in the football case kids that want to look like their idols) can get the nice shoes. If you want to impress somebody with a shoe that is $100 more, this is not for you. But if you look for performance you could not care less. (And people who know their stuff will recognize anyway).
to 3: they released the vaporfly elite in limited numbers in key marathon cities (like 90 pairs or so) and with the high pricepoint they did not really sell out quickly. So mass producing them will only lead to high end performance shoes in outlet stores (not really what you want as a brand)
to 2: Vaporfly 4% only for competitions to beat your best time (wears down quickly)
Zoom Fly: to train for competition with a similar shoe that is way more durable but also pretty fast.
Zoom Fly SP: more a lifestlye shoe since only sneaker boutiques get them and no running specialist stores. Upper is also not very durable, but you can use the like the zoom flys if you want.
React: for every runner, no competitions, more training and recreative running, performs good in all aspects but not so much energy return as the vapor/zoom flys
Vapormax: focus on cushioning since the big air units give only little energy return, but as you said, more used for comfort in lifestyle section.
To 1: the vaporfly 4% is only meant to be worn in competitions to boost (no pun intended) your effectivity. After 1 Marathon they are done, but you got your new best time, which is a premium result and this is what you pay for. It's like going shopping or offroad with a nascar, the bottom will rip up after one ride but is costs like a million dollars. If you run very fast, like you should in these, only your forefoot will touch the ground (like sprinting), so only the black part will be used anyway.
Hope this helps you out. Keep up the good work, i really like your honest opinion on things.
If somebody has questions, maybe i can answer them, or TLDNR 🙂
