I was working at a big distribution centre and I bought some safety boots cheap….but I think they were half a size too small. After a few weeks I started to get cuts and blisters all over my feet. But the real pain/injury was not actually visible.
Under my right foot, about an inch below the toes….there was a tiny little area that if any pressure was applied to it, even light pressure…..it would feel as if all the toes on that foot were literally being snapped backwards. I have NEVER had pain like that before EVER.
It was impossible to walk on that foot without falling over. Just using that foot on the gas pedal would literally have me yelling in absolute agony. I drove myself to the hospital and was like "ARRRRRGGHHHHHH FFUUUUUUUCK, ARGHHHHHHHH FUCKING FUUUUUUCK ARRRRGHHHH" squeezing the hell out of the steering wheel.
I had to take a whole week off of work and lay down keeping the foot elevated, and tons of prescribed pain killers. It was so strange though because to look at the part of the foot where that pain was coming from…..there was no actual visible injury. Man that was friggin' horrible. The worst pain I ever had in my life. Naturally I threw those boots away.
