They never had My size in Thorogoods so I would always get the 5.11s or Converse. The insides would fall apart before the soles wear out but I like the lace up high tops with side zippers so I can slip zip & go. No free boots any more since I retired ☻

My dad has 2 pairs of Chippewas, one pair of Carolinas and a pair of Georgia’s. All of those don’t have a single rip in them after like 30 years. My mom even had some Herman’s (not made anymore) that are rip free after many years. I’m 15 right now, but when I get a good job, you bet your ass I will be buying a pair of made in USA boots that can hopefully last decade after decade to the point where I can give them to my kid.
